この映像は、空間内に12個のデジタルフォトフレームを配置したメディアインスタレーション作品“forest and trees”を元にして、12種類の映像を１画面にまとめたバージョンです。
This video is based on the media installation work "forest and trees," in which 12 digital photo frames are placed in the space, and combines 12 different videos of the work on one screen.
タイトルの「Forest and Trees」は「木を見て森を見ず」という言葉の反転で、 全体と細部を行き来するような見方、聴き方を示しています。
The work's title, "Forest and Trees" suggests the artist's interest in having the work received in a way that shifts recognition back and forth between the whole; the music and the exhibition space, and the parts ; individual sounds and animations.
